I just love going to dog shows.  It is where you get to see the best of the best, the best examples, and the most pampered pooches anywhere.  dog shows are open to the public, and have much to offer anypawdy who owns a dog, or would like to own a dog.  There are usually vendors there selling a variety of dog-related items: toys, collars, leashes and harnesses, pet beds, health and nutrition supplements, pet food,  doggie wear and people wear, grooming tools and supplies, oh-my-dog the list just goes on and on.   I love to go so that I can see old furrends and catch up on what’s been happening in their lives!  My furrend Diva is a Pomeranian that competes in agility, and she was there grabbing up some blue ribbons!  here I am, barking with Diva and her brother TomTom, and Fancy, who we met there last year:

Mommy enjoys the shopping part, too, because there is always something new and interesting being sold that we have never seen or tried before.  this time the new discovery was the salmon skin bones, so very tasty but so very stinky.  We got them from Karlie Bug’s K-9 Kloset.  too bad that the reason why I loved it so much is also the reason why mommy had to put it in a zip bag when I was done chewing on it, but I thought it was pawesome:

I chewed and chewed on that salmon skin bone and got it all over my face and paws and chest, it was just so yummy.  I was such a mess that I had to have a bath the next morning and sulked for an hour:

Sunday, the last day was my turn to play with the guests in the meet The Breed area.  I got dressed in one of my prettiest dresses, in fact it is the same dress that I am wearing on the cover of my 2013 Bella Pomeranian calendar so that I would look very pretty.   here I am at the entrance:

Inside we visited all of the breed booths, but we had time to take pictures of only a few.  here we are meeting the German Pinscher.  This link will take you to the website for information on breeders, the history of the German Pinscher, the AKC Standard, Rescue, their health and temperament, and much more.  If you have ever wanted to consider having a German Pinscher, this website is ready to provide you with all the information you need:

We also stopped to bark with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.  one of the neat things about meet The Breed is that you get to actually meet the breed.  members of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of greater San Diego were there with their own pets so you could see them and pet them up close.  feel free to contact the club if you are interested in a Cavalier, or if you would prefer to rescue they can direct you to a rescue that is breed specific.

The next breed that we visited is the Irish Wolfhound.  What could be more perfect for St Patrick’s Day, right?  These guys are tall, handsome and bark with an Irish brogue….no I am just kidding!!  If you ever thought of bringing an Irish Wolfhound into your life, check the AKC site or with a breeder about the specific characteristics to make sure this is the right breed for you:

So now it is time for me to report in to my duty station at meet The Breed and show people what Poms are like as pets.  I always love to see my furrends Tammee and Dan, they tell me that they used to babysit for my doggy mom “Dream Weaver’s medicine Woman.”  It is also rumored that she is known as “Toady Bug” if you are in her inner circle of furrends:

It’s time to say bye-bye to San Diego and get ready to go home, but not before we get a picture of Mommy’s RV tire cover that she had made to celebrate my 17 months as the star of 1-800-Petmeds. If you ever see this on the road, honk!

Love,

Bella
