Ohai. You might be wondering why I am wearing this pink vest… it is actually a harness! even though I am an indoor only cat, there are some things outside that I am interested in. Of course, it is not safe for me to go outside by myself on account of I could get eaten up by an alligator. So I am going to show you ways to delight in the great outdoors, and still be safe!
Here is an essential fact: It is not enough to just wear a harness; you should attach a leash and also ask a person to please hold onto the other end of the leash.
Once outside, there are lots of fun things to do. I like to rubberneck and hunt for lizards and feel the turf under my feet and walk all around sniffing stuff.
If you do not feel like putting on a harness, there are still other ways you can delight in the breeze in your fur and the sun on your back. This is my outdoor enclosure. I like it because I can wander around inside the enclosure without my Mommeh pulling on the leash.
If you want to roam even further, I recommend a pet stroller. I get to travel in style cuddled up inside my pretty pink sleeping bag while my Mommeh pushes the stroller. in some cases I say to her “Push faster!” I think she enjoys my thoughtful comments.
You might be wondering, “Does Harley get to delight in the great outdoors, too?” Well, Harley always thinks he wants to go outside.
But whenever he actually goes outside, he gets scared! here he is meowing loudly and if you look closely, you can see him lifting his leg to keep it off the grass. Or maybe he didn’t think this harness and leash was manly enough.
Harley prefers to delight in his outdoor adventures from the safety of the indoors!
Do you delight in going outdoors?
