As more and more cat parents are looking for ways to provide optimal nutrition for their feline family members, raw feeding is becoming more and more popular. Embraced for decades by holistically oriented pet parents and holistic veterinarians, the availability of commercially prepared raw diets like Darwin’s have made raw feeding easier than ever before.
I’ve been feeding raw for the past ten years, and have seen my cats thrive on it. I started feeding Darwin’s about five years ago, and it has become a perennial favorite.
Delivered right to your door
Darwin’s is packed in eco-friendly packaging with dry ice to ensure that food is shipped and delivered safely. It arrives frozen solid, even on the hottest days.
Darwin’s offers a convenient autoship schedule so you’ll never have to worry about running out of food. The timing of delivery is flexible, and Darwin’s friendly customer service team will gladly adjust your schedule as needed.
Feeding is as easy as thaw and serve
The food come packaged in convenient 8 ounce sealed packs. It takes about 24 hours for one pack to thaw in the refrigerator. This makes feeding raw no harder than feeding canned food. The only difference is that instead of pulling a can out of the cabinet, you’re defrosting a pack of food.
But what about food safety?
Sadly, there is a lot of misinformation about the purported risks of feeding raw in the mainstream veterinary community, and it’s not unusual for vets to tell their clients that raw feeding is dangerous. Dr. Karen Becker, a holistic veterinarian who writes extensively for Mercola Pets, dispels many of these myths in this comprehensive article.
Feed less and save
Darwin’s is more nutrient dense than other brands with higher vegetable or moisture content. This means your cats will need less food and will feel full longer. One 8 ounce pack yields four meals for Allegra, who weighs about ten pounds.

I’ve been using Darwin’s lamb for a cat with allergies for 6 years. They make a terrific food and the customer service is excellent.
