Where I live, today is the first day of school. I would enjoy going to school myself but I am Not allowed to go even though I do have a little backpack that I could use to hold my school supplies. It is understandable to feel a little bit sad watching the kids head off for an exciting day at school while you’re stuck at home alone. but there are ways to make the best of the situation! first of all, I do not recommend waiting by the front door, on account of that is very boring. As they say, a watched door never opens… or something like that.

What’s a cat (or dog) to do? Today we’ll brainstorm some fun ideas to keep busy while everyone’s away. And, as long as we’re lounging around on the sofa, this is a great time to catch up on your grooming.

Now that my fur is in order, I’m going to play with my toys. here are my recommendations for toys that you might enjoy:

Toys filled with potent, organic catnip, like this colorful rainbow catnip toy are lots of fun. Plus, catnip can lift your mood and make you feel happy!

An interactive toy like the crazy Circle Interactive cat Toy can help pass the time, too. The ball is enclosed in the track, so it will never get lost under the refrigerator.

For dogs, a Kong classic dog toy can be stuffed with Kong easy treat for hours of enjoyment.  It comes in delicious peanut butter or bacon & cheese flavors.

Dogs may also enjoy a Himalayan dog Chew. They’re long-lasting and a healthy alternative to bones and rawhide chews.

Done playing with your toys already?!? then I recommend snacking! If you have your mom or dad hide a few tasty treats around the house, you can have fun looking for them throughout the day. If your family will be out past your normal feeding time, try an automatic feeder that will serve your food at just the right time.

Finally, if you’re bored with toys, treats, napping and grooming you can just sit around and look grouchy. then when the family finally gets home, you’ll likely get some extra petting.
